When are you open?

Open for lunch Saturday and Sunday from 12pm
Open for dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6pm

Where are you located? 

Restaurant Botanic is located in a heritage rotunda in the centre of the Adelaide Botanic Garden.

I am driving to the restaurant, what can I expect?

There is paid by hour parking along Plane Tree Drive, where there is only a short walk to the restaurant with best access via the Friends’ Gate. Please note that this is a public parking zone and it does experience high traffic during the afternoons and especially during holiday periods. If using uber or taxi’s, also have them drop you off at the Friends’ Gate.

How to get there within the gardens?

During the day you can enter via any of the pedestrian gates to the Adelaide Botanic Garden to get to our restaurant. During the evenings you can only enter and exit through the Friends’ Gate located on Plane Tree Drive.

How often does the menu change?

Our menu changes all the time, we are about time and place. Every week the Botanic Garden is different, so we adjust the menu with the garden’s seasonal offering. Changing the menu brings life and energy in our restaurant!

What are the menu options?

One tasting menu, with over 20 flavour combinations. 

How long should I anticipate the dining experience to go for?

We value the entire experience at Restaurant Botanic and we want all our guests to savour every minute in our little oasis. To avoid being rushed or put under pressure, anticipate an overall minimum dining experience of a 4 hour duration. 

Do you accommodate dietary requirements and food allergies?

Yes, we can tailor our tasting menu to suit all dietary requirements & allergies. Please notify us of your requirements and allergies when you make a booking, so we can give the best experience possible.

What is your maximum booking size?

6 guests.

Do you accept walk-ins?

We do if there is availability. 

Is Restaurant Botanic available for private hire?

Absolutely. We ask interested parties to contact us so we can organise a meeting and discuss our private function options. If you wish to walk through the restaurant and hear about our sole-use opportunities, please send enquires to hello@restaurantbotanic.com.au.

Do you allow BYO?

Yes, corkage is $100 per bottle, with a maximum of one bottle per guest. The bottle in question must also not be on our wine list.

Can I bring a cake to your restaurant?

We don’t allow outside food to be brought into Restaurant Botanic. If you are celebrating a special occasion and would like a cake presented on top of our menu, we can certainly arrange this with prior notice and at an additional fee.

Can we bring decorations for the table (eg, balloons, ornaments)?

With respect to all our guests and to avoid disrupting anyone’s view and experience. We do not allow any balloons or excessive ornaments/ table decorations to be brought into the restaurant. If you do have a specific request to add a special touch to the table, please email or call us in advance to see if there’s anything we can arrange. 

Is your venue accessible to people with mobility restrictions?

Yes, please let us know in your booking so we can allocate a suitable table close to the access.

What is the dress code?

There’s no strict dress code, however most people come dressed smart/casual.

Can I bring my children?

Children over the age of 5 are more than welcome to dine at Restaurant Botanic, but please be aware that no reduction in menu size or price is available. If you are bringing your child along with you then you must reserve them a seat and pay the menu price.

When do new bookings become available?

Reservations are available for the current month, and two months in advance. We open the bookings on the first of each month for 2 months out. Example January 1st for all of March

What Covid safety protocols are you implementing currently?

Restaurant Botanic follows the most recent guidance set forth by the South Australian Government on COVID-19 protocols. We require all employees, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks during their entire shift and ask that they adhere to stringent hygiene protocols such as the frequent use of hand sanitisers. The venue is equipped with easy to reach hand sanitising stations and is professionally cleaned. 

What precautions or policies do you have in place regarding Covid-19?

The team at Botanic have your health and safety at the forefront of our minds. Our venue has an approved COVID Safe Plan on display, and we are constantly analysing State Government advice to ensure we are working to the latest South Australian Health guidelines. We kindly ask that you wear your face mask when moving throughout the venue, and when not actively eating or drinking, as well as making use of sanitisers placed around our venue when necessary.
