When are you open?

Open for lunch Sunday from 12:15pm

Open for dinner Thursday to Saturday from 6:00pm

Where are you located? 

Restaurant Botanic is located in a heritage rotunda in the centre of the Adelaide Botanic Garden.

How to get there within the gardens?

The closest entry point is via Friends' Gate on Plane Tree Drive. For clear directions, we recommend you Google/Apple Map search 'Friends Gate' which will take you to this specific access point of the Adelaide Botanic Garden. From there, walk straight down Ficus Walk (the path lined with Moreton Bay Fig Trees) and turn right when you see our restaurant on the right-hand side. The restaurant itself, is a large white rotunda with illuminated trees circling the building.

I am driving to the restaurant, what can I expect?

There is paid by hour parking along Plane Tree Drive, where there is only a short walk to the restaurant with best access via the Friends’ Gate. Please note that this is a public parking zone and it does experience high traffic during the afternoons and especially during holiday periods. If using Uber or taxi’s, also have them drop you off at the Friends’ Gate.

What are the menu options?

One tasting menu, with over 26 flavour combinations. 

How often does the menu change?

Our menu changes all the time, we are about time and place. Every week the Botanic Garden is different, so we adjust the menu with the garden’s seasonal offering. Changing the menu brings life and energy in our restaurant!

How long should I anticipate the dining experience to go for?

We value the entire experience at Restaurant Botanic and we want all our guests to savour every minute in our little oasis. To avoid being rushed or put under pressure, please anticipate an overall minimum dining experience of a 4 hour duration. 

Do you accommodate dietary requirements and food allergies?

Yes, we can tailor our tasting menu to suit all dietary requirements & allergies. Please notify us of your requirements and allergies when you make a booking, so we can give the best experience possible.

What is your maximum booking size?

6 guests.

When do new bookings become available?

Reservations are available for the current month, and two months in advance. We open the bookings on the first of each month for 2 months out. Example January 1st for all of March.

Is Restaurant Botanic available for private hire?

Absolutely. We ask interested parties to contact us so we can organise a meeting and discuss our private function options. If you wish to walk through the restaurant and hear about our sole-use opportunities, please send enquires to hello@restaurantbotanic.com.au.

What is the dress code?

There’s no strict dress code, however most people come dressed smart/casual.

Is your venue accessible to people with mobility restrictions?

Yes, please let us know in your booking so we can allocate a suitable table close to the access.

Can I bring a cake to your restaurant?

We don’t allow outside food to be brought into Restaurant Botanic. If you are celebrating a special occasion, please let us know and we will arrange an acknowledgement for you.

Can we bring decorations for the table (eg, balloons, ornaments)?

With respect to all our guests and to avoid disrupting anyone’s view and experience. We do not allow any balloons or excessive ornaments/ table decorations to be brought into the restaurant. If you do have a specific request to add a special touch to the table, please email or call us in advance to see if there’s anything we can arrange. 

Can I bring my children?

Children over the age of 5 are more than welcome to dine at Restaurant Botanic, but please be aware that no reduction in menu size or price is available. If you are bringing your child along with you then you must reserve them a seat and pay the menu price.
